Raport Workshop EUforY 21-24 november

During November 21-24, took place the International Workshop ”Raise awareness on Moldova europeanization in academia and beyond it”, 

within the Jean Monnet project “Horizons of Moldova’s European Union Integration: Realities and Perspectives”/EUforY organized with the support of EU within Erasmus+ Programme.

The workshop was organized in combination with other event within the CONNECT project, which contributed to its promotion on a larger scale.

The event was organized by Moldova State University, and hosted in two locations Smart Cafe and Mediacor.

With an impressive turnout of over 200 attendees, the workshop provided a unique platform for participants to engage in insightful discussions, gain valuable insights, and establish meaningful connections within their respective fields. The event’s hybrid nature allowed both in-person and virtual participation, ensuring a diverse and inclusive experience for all attendees.

The main focus of this conference is fostering cooperation between academic world, policy makers, civil society and youth regarding the EU policies with the main focus on political, economic and cultural issues.

Throughout the four-day duration, participants had the opportunity to attend a wide range of engaging sessions, including interactive panel discussions and thought-provoking keynote presentations. Renowned industry experts and thought leaders shared their expertise, providing valuable insights and practical strategies to address the challenges and opportunities within the field.

The workshop also featured networking sessions, allowing attendees to connect with like-minded professionals, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. The vibrant atmosphere fostered a sense of community and encouraged participants to actively engage in meaningful conversations.

Objectives of the workshop: 

  • To improve the understanding of wider public on EU commitment towards its Eastern neighbors within the European Neighbourhood Policy as well as EU closeness to Moldova both in the matter of political and economic collaboration;
  • To foster the level of familiarization of wider public in Moldova, in general, and academia and youths, in particular, on the EU economic and trade policy issues towards Moldova;
  • To increase the involvement of the academic world, youths, researchers, SMS, staff of the public administration, experts in the areas related to the European Studies, civil society organization in the monitoring and advocating of the on-going realization of the AA provisions regarding human rights, education and culture, trade relations;
  • To improve knowledge of academic staff that will extend them to their colleagues, especially to students and people for whom they are lecturing and training. That will also serve for the modernisation of the existing academic educational programmes at universities and training programmes at the vocational and training institutions on project`s issues;
  • To foster cooperation between civil society, policy makers, academic world and youth regarding the EU policies.

International Conference ”EU: Building links to Eastern Partnership Countries”


March 15-16th, 2023 took place the International Conference “EU: Building links to Eastern Partnership Countries” within Jean Monnet project “Horizons of Moldova’s European Union Integration: Realities and Perspectives”/EUforY organized with the support of EU within the Erasmus+ Programme.
The event was organized by Moldova State University and hosted at the premises of Mediacor.
The International Conference was organized in a hybrid mode, therefore it was attended physically by representatives from at least 5 countries and virtually by guests and speakers from 2 other countries. The total number of participants within 2 conference days was more than 120 persons.
The event’s program was designed to captivate the attention of the guests, speakers, and panelists.
The primary focus of the conference was to encourage collaboration among academia, policymakers, civil society, and youth concerning EU policies, with particular emphasis on political, economic, and cultural matters.

Objectives of the conference:

  • ​To foster and strengthen understanding and awareness of Target Groups regarding the quality of education and Eastern Partnership (EaP)-EU common scientific and technological activities;
  • ​To promote the involvement of the Target Groups in a public policy dialogue regarding the European Integration of Moldova compared to other countries covered by EaP;
  • ​To inform and raise awareness of representatives of the academic world, youths, researchers, young professionals, and civil society on regional and local levels on the importance of the EU shared values for the development of the country and to promote their engagement in the policy dialogue in their local communities;
  • ​To improve the involvement, raise awareness, and inform the wider public on the progress achieved towards the economic association of Moldova with the EU due to access to EU funding programmes.

Seminar “Jean Monnet good practices in the context of European studies and EU promotion”

December 12-17th, 2022 took place the Seminar “Jean Monnet good practices in the context of European studies and EU promotion” organized within the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet 619953-EPP-1-2020-1-MD-EPPJMO-PROJECT “Horizons of the integration of the Republic of Moldova in the EU: Realities and perspectives” EuforY.

Seminar was held in 3 cities of the Republic of Moldova: Chisinau, Balti, and Comrat in a hybrid format with international participation from Romania, working languages: English, Romanian, and Russian, more than 210 participants were trained at the seminar (130 participants physical and 80 participants online).

Speakers:

  • Claudia Melinte, Coordinator National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova: Training course Methodology and introduction of the participants in new generation of Jean Monnet projects (Program Guide 2023), Call 2022-2023, configurations and application experience;
  • Elena Simciuc, Coordinator of Jean Monnet project, Moldova State University: Jean Monnet Action and objectives of Seminar, how to Prepare Good Proposals for Jean Monnet Action, how to apply, information on EACEA’s funding opportunities, EU programmer for education, training, youth and sport, project results;
  • Tatiana Bulimaga, Head of International Relations Department: Designing a Jean Monnet proposal (The project proposal approach, what is a proposal?), The cycle of operations (Programming, Identification, Formulation, Implementation, Evaluation & Audit), Logical Framework Approach, at the end of the presentations, was a Simulation exercise: Application elaboration, independent work of the participants of the seminar on filling in the key fields, followed by discussions, answers to questions and exchange of opinions between participants and speakers.

PRESS RELEASE EUFORY

Moldova State University, the Coordinator of the project “Horizons of Moldova’s integration into the European Union: realities and prospects”, Reference number: 619953-EPP-1-2020-1-MD-EPPJMO – PROJECT, in the person of Elena Simciuc, organized the 3  Inter-institutional Training Courses “EU Project management” on March 9-10, 2021 in Comrat, on March 11-12 in Chisinau and on March 15-16 in Balti, which was attended by more than 80 participants.

The project is funded by the European Commission – Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture – within the Erasmus+ programme.

The Inter-institutional Training Courses were held both in online and in offline format in parallel. This was a new experience for the experts ‘team, Simciuc Elena and Robert Khachatryan, but in the context of the Covid-19 Pandemic, it was decided to profit from both opportunities and rich the higher number of participants.

The objectives of these Inter-institutional Training Courses are to raise public awareness of the European Union, to promote and strengthen the understanding on Moldova’s European integration processes, to inform about the financial instruments offered by the various EU programmes/strategies and teach the target group to formulate, develop and design the projects proposal that could be applied within EU funding programmes. The participants were received all necessary supporting materials.

In order to assure the synergy and promotion of the projects supported by EU was disseminated the information about the  project “Moldova Higer Education Leadership and Management (MHELM)”Nr. 609656-EPP-1-2019-1-MD-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP

The major objective of the MHELM project is to strengthen governance, strategic planning and management in Moldovan universities, to support sector reform by increasing the leadership and management capacity. It envisages creation of a higher education leadership and management development programme focused on governance, strategic planning and management, that is appropriate for delivery in Moldovan universities.

At the moment, the elaborated program is the piloting stage and will be submitted to ANACEC for authorization.

The project conconsortium consists of Technical University of Moldova, Moldova State University, Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, State Agrarian University of Moldova, Cahul State University „Bogdan Petriceicu Hasdeu”, Alecu Russo Balti State University, University of Gloucestershire, (Great Britain ), Institute for Socio-Scientific Consultancy, Regensburg, (Germany) and Transilvania University of Brașov, România.
